Pintello Comedy Theater’s 20th anniversary is a celebratory reprise of some their previous season’s shows, and this month it was Norm Foster’s Office Hours, a play that first premiered in 1996 and contains six separate stories that unfold and interlace.
Directed by Whitney Pintello, the cast features familiar faces Ronnie Misra, Denee Lewis, Jacob Goller, Rosalind Farotte, Charley Gilmore and Nick Fryou, each in multiple roles (the 6 of them play 17 characters). Rosalind Farotte was last seen at Limelight’s production of Ripcord in 2021 (where Denee was the assistant director), and Denee will be featured in Limelight’s next show, Becky’s New Car, opening in August. Roz is also responsible for the amazing Rocky Road that is featured at SVCT shows! Whitney Pintello and Charley Gilmore were delightful as well in SVCT’s green screen virtual production of 2 Across during the pandemic.
Pintello had produced the show in their 2004 season (here’s a Morgan Hill Times review of it), and in that production the cast included John Brewer, Sandi Lewandowski, Rod Pintello, Donna Tom and Simon Pintello. Sandi was just featured in Limelight’s production of Later Life so it was fun to see her photo up there on their wall!

Canadian playwright Norm Foster is known for his popular and funny plays and Pintello has produced a number of them over the years including Looking, Halfway There, Opening Night, and The Ladies Foursome.
I loved the set in this production, and always enjoy seeing how the Pintello’s transform their space for each show.
